My name is Jason Bennett, and I am a Multimedia Journalist originally from the Bronx, New York. I moved to Kissimmee, Florida, for high school and then attended Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL, where I obtained my Associate's degree in Criminal Justice. After graduating from the community college, I transferred to the University of Florida, where I embarked on a journey that I had only dreamed of.

I have always loved talking and debating about sports. I began my journalism career through an immersion experience called ESPN Gainesville 98.1 FM 850 AM WRUF. The station covered every sport on campus, providing me access to sporting events and allowing me to grow as a journalist covering Gators sports.

Attending a top-5 university in the country shaped me into an up-and-coming journalist. It gave me the opportunity to interact with individuals like myself who are striving to make it in the media industry. I am privileged to have obtained my Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication and Journalism from the University in 2019 and to have furthered my education at Florida, pursuing my Master's degree in Mass Communication in 2022.
